It is with deep sorrow to announce the death of our dear stepmother Sirkka Malkki and special mother to Heidi Schell (Steven). She will be fondly remembered by her stepchildren Seija Catling (late Wayne), Joe Malkki (Darla), Jorma Malkki (Leah), Sinikka Dawson (Brian) and John Malkki (Mary). Grandmother of 12 and 2 predeceased, great grandmother of 23 and great great grandmother of 2. Dear sister of Hilkka Muukkonen (late Aulis) and Lea Haapasalo (Auvo) of Finland. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Raappana officiating. Memorial donations to the new Mauno Kaihla Koti would be appreciated by the family. Our heartfelt thanks to the loving and caring staff at the Ontario Finnish Rest Home (M.K.K.). They were her second family for almost 10 years and we were truly blessed.
