Obituary of Daniel Lafrenière

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that the family of Dan Lafrenière announce his passing on July 10th, 2017 at the age of 61. Beloved husband and best friend of Claire for 34 years. Proud, loved and cherished father of Kyle (Allison) and Kory (Victoria). Dan will be forever missed by his sister Francine Vaillancourt (Guy) of Elliot Lake, sisters-in-law Charlotte Martin (Garnet) of Elliot Lake and Ghislaine Williamson (late Alan) of Sault Ste. Marie. He is predeceased by his sister Jackie Coulombe. Dan will also be remembered and missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He always lived life to the fullest and enjoyed playing billiards and golf, but most importantly he loved his two boys, his wife and his extended family. He also loved his dog who sat patiently beside him as he ate dinner every night. Friends and family may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jean Pierre Mukuna officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
