Obituary of Earl Joseph Hicks

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View with his family by his side on Thursday, September 28, 2017, in his 90th year.  Beloved husband of the late Vera Hicks for 55 years.  Loving father of Sherry Rumble (Terry), Ted (Kathleen) and Jeff (Nancy).  Cherished grandfather of Gregory Rumble, Courtney Kendall (Jordan), Darcy Rumble (Grace), Amanda Moss (Brent), Abigail Hicks, Cassidy, Sidney, Sophie, Christina and Avery Hicks.  Great grandfather of Tait and Evan Moss, Eli and Trent Kendall.  Brother of the late Howard (late Wilma), late Beulah Haldenby (late Fred) and the late Eric (Diana).  Brother-in-law of the late John Hatten (late Shirley) and Wayne Hatten (Gisele). In fulfilling Earl’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Cremation has taken place and private committal will be held in the family plot at Port Findlay Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Hicks officiating.  Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.  Thank you to the staff at Maple View Nursing Home-Goulais Bay for the care and compassion shown to Dad and our family.
