Obituary of Raymond Tyynela
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Elvi. Loving father of Ron (Stacey Collins) and predeceased by Susan and Andrew “Andy”. Devoted grandfather of Josh, Madison Tyynela and Kaege Spin. He was passionate about coaching minor hockey and spent many years helping children achieve their potential. Ray worked at Algoma Steel for 35 years and also ran Silver Creek Farms with Peter Scarfone. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758 on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 5 pm until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 6 pm with Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Memorial donations to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association or Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
