Mr. Kinghorn was one of the best teachers I ever had. He taught my mum when he first started and was horrified to find the next generation in his class. I'M NOT READY FOR THIS! he yelled as he walked into the supply closet. I had him for two history classes and he worked really hard to understand how my learning issues could be adapted, came to find me in the hall when he finished marking a project I was worrying about. Just an all around great teacher who had that passion for it.

So sorry to hear about Roger’s death. I taught at Sir James Dunn in the early 70’s. Roger learned about an apartment opening up in the wonderful old house he lived in on Farquhar and I lived there for 3 years. So many laughs and good times with our group of friends. One memorable time I hitched a ride to his parents home and stayed there overnight as I was going on to my folks farm in the Ottawa Valley. His mom made “mud pie” which I never tasted before! Started cross country skiing there with other teachers from the Dunn. These and many more fun times fill my mind as I think about what a good guy he is. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
