Just saw this. Very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I hung out with Rick and the gang from about ages 15-21, and we had some fun times in high school and afterwards. After I left Sudbury we did not really keep in touch (a few weddings), but it was great to see him again at the SHS reunion in 2008. He was a good guy, and that's how I'll remember him. Rest in peace, buddy. Pat O'Hagan.

So sorry to hear about Rick. He was one of my best friends for the time I lived in Sudbury before I got married and moved to Barrie.

We would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the Madore family for your deep loss. Rick held a special place in my heart having know him since our teenage years and sharing a house with him during our university days. When Rick moved to the Sault, I really only had the opportunity get together and catch-up with Rick once or twice a year during our traditional “boy’s trips”. These trips held a special memory for us all. During the Covid years, some of these trips were interrupted. However, we had the fortunate opportunity to reconnect with Rick and his friends on a weekly basis during regularly scheduled Zoom video calls. Little did we know at the time, but it turned out that these calls would continue right up until Rick’s last days. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit and sense of humour. I will miss our dear friend and he will always remain in our hearts. Wayne and Ann-Marie Kaminski

I worked with Rick at the post office for many years and he was always helpful and a joy to be with. I am very saddened at his passing.

Uncle Ricky was such an important person in our lives. A strong and loving uncle and best friend to Norm. They loved their hour long conversations each night and I will truly miss hearing this as Norm tried to not laugh or talk too loud to keep me up. He supported and cheered on Braeden and Devan in hockey, football and baseball and was so proud to share their accomplishments with all who would listen. His love for his family was felt by all who was lucky enough to know him. Uncle Ricky always said “Family is everything “. We were blessed and lucky enough to be a part of yours. We will miss you so much. Thank you for loving us and being such an amazing person to Norm, Braeden ,Devan and I. Give Jordy and big hug for us Lots of love Auntie Joyce and Jeannine xo We will always be here for you

Uncle Rick will be remembered for his relentless happiness. Always smiling and laughing. He was so proud of his family. The obituary says it perfectly. He was always happy sharing and a very giving man. He gave each of my kids a piece of his dragon collection many years ago because it made him happy to see his great niece and nephews happy. Till we meet again, love you and miss you. To Aunt Joyce and Jeannine my thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Christine

Our deepest condolences to the family during these sad days. Rick (and Joyce) were our friends for over 50 years. We certainly have fond memories of us all enjoying ourselves during the different stages of our lives. Rick was "one of the boys", and like a brother to George. He will be missed for his kindness, humour, quick wit, and the joy he brought to all the gatherings. George and Jeannette Kaminski
