I’ve had the pleasure and honour of knowing Big John for over 36 years. First meeting him at Sue and Johns wedding and then many family gatherings after that. He was always ready with a smile, a hug and a nice shot of Slivovitz.
I know this will leave a huge void within his family and subsequent gatherings.
My heart goes out to Carol, his kids and his grandchildren.
I have shed my tears, and now hope to honour his memory with a toast the next time we all meet.

In the course of our lives, we will meet many people who have an impact on our time here. John Sr. was one of those people. While we lived 9 hours away and our paths crossed mainly at family events at John and Sue’s home in Trenton, John Sr. was always a welcome presence. We will miss the conversation, the laughter and the general sense of happiness that he brought to the moment. God bless you John. We will miss you.
