It is with great sadness and unbearable pain that we announce the passing of Ian Douglas, on June 9, 2022 at the age of 28, due to an unforeseen accident. He leaves behind the light of his life, his best buddy, his son, Ezra. Cherished and much-loved son of Kellie and Ian. Best friend and big brother of Chelsea. Adored uncle of James and Lilah-May. Special grandson of Shirley and the late Wayne Frazier & Barb and Otto Karhi. Nephew of Andy Karhi (Natalie Walde), and cousin of Brandt, Kendyll, and Macey.
Ian was an incredible young man with so much love for his family. He excelled in sports and especially enjoyed badminton, volleyball and billiards. There was nothing he loved more than getting into a good book. He loved reading and was knowledgeable in many subjects, but really enjoyed Greek and Egyptian mythology. He was very likeable and got along with everyone but was most comfortable keeping to himself and spending time with his son and family. Ian had a passion for cooking and was known as the family chef; he even had the opportunity to attend the Culinary Institute of Michigan, to further his skills. He was a beautiful, generous soul who will be missed more than words could ever express. His time in this world has ended too soon. Our hearts are shattered, and our family can’t imagine how we will continue on without our Ian Douglas here with us.
Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Ian Douglas Frazier Memorial Trust for his son, niece and nephew, would be appreciated by the family.
Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only we could have you back for just a little while. Then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always will. The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause us pain but you’re forever in our hearts until we meet again.
