Obituary of Nicolas Georgas

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Maria (nee Attaliotis) for 61 amazing years. Loving father of Harriet Georgas (beloved cat Lily) and George Georgas (Nicole). Proud Pappou of Austin Nicholas Georgas and Lukas Dirk Georgas. Predeceased by his parents George and Despina Georgas. Dear brother of Irene Sarris (late Savvas), and Stella Deros (late George). Brother-in-law of Stamatia (late George), Georgia (Yannis) and Tsambika (Kosta). Nick will be missed by his nephews Phillip, John, Nick, Prokopis (Akis), Yannis, and his nieces Debbie and Stella. Proud Godparent of Milton, Maria V, Maria D, Sasha and George. Special acknowledgment of dear family friends Svetlana and David Baumann (and family).

Nick enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Mary's Ukrainian Church (293 St. Georges Ave. East, Sault Ste. Marie, ON) on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. with Father Michael Hayes officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial donation to St. Mary's Ukrainian Church or the Sault Area Hospital Critical Care Fund.
