Obituary of Lucy Pintaric

With broken hearts the family announces her passing at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Thursday, July 10, 2025 in her 93^rd year. She now joins her beloved husband Mike (Mijo). They had shared over 50 wonderful years in their adopted country of Canada, but Croatia was always in their hearts. She was the last of her family. Loving mother of Bill (Zvonko) (Neola) and Slavica Szymberski (Mark). She was an exceptional grandmother to Michael, David (Sherrie), Erica (Ryan) and Mark Jr. (Amanda). Special great grandmother of Taylor, Keyonnah, Konner, Abigail, Madeline and Lilyanna. She will also be missed by Miriam, Kristina, Adriana and Zvonko (Dorothy). They loved her like a mother and grandmother.

We were all blessed to have her with us for so long. Saying goodbye is the hardest part.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Alex Saurianthadathil officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to ARCH would be greatly appreciated by the family.

There are angels among us – they work at ARCH! A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful staff who made her last days more than comfortable – they treated her like she was their mother. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
