Obituary of Rosario Sirianni

Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH). Devoted and beloved husband of 61 years to Joanne Sirianni (Desando). Loving father of Teresa and John Sirianni. Dear Nonno to the lights of his life Erik Ross (Cathy), Gianna (Jarred), and Carina. Ross will be greeted with love and open arms by his mother Maria Teresa Sirianni and his father-in-law and mother-in-law Giulio and Concetta Desando.  Brother of the late Frank Sirianni (Connie), Felicia Bernabucci (late Mauro) and the late Salvatore Mangone (late Maria) all of Sault Ste. Marie, late Rosina Mancina (late John), late Santo Sirianni, late John Sirianni, late Antonio Sirianni (late Maria) of Milano, Italy and Marietta Scalise (Dante) of Toronto. Brother-in-law of the late Giuseppe Desando (Immacolata), Connie Michienzi (Giuseppe), late Nicola Desando (late Rosina), and Geno Desando (Leanne). Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

A private family entombment has taken place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund or ARCH would be appreciated by the family.

There was nothing Rosario enjoyed more than sharing a glass of wine and a good meal with his family. The next time you have a drink, raise your glass to Ross. During Rosario’s 6-year battle with cancer, there were many doctors who provided exceptional care and support, including but not limited to Dr. Coccimiglio, Dr. Rassouli, Dr. Lam, and the amazing Dr. J. Thank you to the nurses on floors 2A and 2C at the Sault Area Hospital for their exemplary care.
