Obituary of Scott Watson
“Nothing can take away a love the heart holds”
With immeasurable grief we announce the passing of Scott at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, September 6, 2025. Much loved husband and best friend of Jacquelyn. Cherished father of Derek (Jaclyn) and Kristina (Richard Hodgins) and stepfather of Lee Slater (Elise Orlando). Much adored Papo of his granddaughters Greer and Teddie Watson and new grandson Nathaniel Watson-Hodgins, who will learn of his Papo’s legacy through shared family memories. Predeceased by his parents Ted and Bernice Watson. Beloved brother of the late Brian (Joanne), Carol, Greg (Lynda), Robert (Brenda), and Wayne (Julia); and brothers-in-law Mike and Terry Rainone (Bobbi-Jo), and sister-in-law Carolyn Rainone. Adored Uncle Scott to his numerous nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces in both the Watson and Rainone clans. Lifelong friend of Karin Watson, Prebin Gustavsen (Lucy), Joe Van Doninck (Rose), and the Williams brothers.
Scott loved his work as a construction superintendent and was highly respected by those in his field and all those he worked with. His greatest pleasure was spending time with family, and he loved all of us with all of his heart, a love that was returned tenfold. He was a gentle and loving man and a friend to all he met.
Special thanks to Doctors Febbraro and Booth for their care and compassion throughout this difficult journey. Thanks to the staff on 3B at the Sault Area Hospital. Special thanks to RN Jenna for your caring and compassion towards Scott as well as his family, which was appreciated more than you know. Special thanks as well to Bayshore nurses Michelle and Sean for your daily visits, expertise, and care.

Marie) from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Meeting Room A (upstairs-elevator access available).
