It was such a shock to hear the sad news about Brendy. I have known him for most of my life, as he and my older brother were friends.
As a child, I remember Brendy often calling our house right at dinner time. When the phone rang, we would all say, “That must be Brendy!” — and it usually was. Those are such good memories that always make me smile.
Whenever I returned home over the years and happened to meet Brendy — at the mall or somewhere around town — he always greeted me warmly.
Brendy was a gentle soul who became a part of our family’s life in so many ways. He will truly be missed by the Charron family, but we will always remember him with love and gratitude for the time we shared.

I coached Brenden in Special Olympics Track and Floor Hockey in the 1990s, before moving to Alberta in 2000. In the 25 years since I moved, Brenden continued to call me to update me on his bowling scores, tournament wins, to discuss how his favorite teams were doing, or just what he was doing. Always pleasant and polite, I appreciated that he made the effort to keep in touch. He just called the other week, so I was shocked to learn on his passing. He lived the Special Olympic Oath "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave at the attempt". You will be missed Brenden.

I've played ball with Brenden in the "over 40" league for a few years, and he was always genuinely such a bright spot in my day. I loved talking about his recent golf, bowling, and baseball stats. A true athlete, a true gentleman and a true friend. He will be missed by so many, myself definitely included. Thank you Brenden for brightening my day, and to his family, I'm so sorry for your tragic loss.

Brenden was a pleasure to know and he will be greatly missed by so many that knew him in the Community.
He was a bright light and it was always wonderful to run into him around town and at the bowling alley.
Our deepest condolences to Brenden's family and friends.
