Obituary of Ida Spadafora

Passed away peacefully at the FJ Davey Home on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving behind her greatest joys and achievements, her family.

Ida was married to the love of her life, Domenico for over 65 years. She is the cherished mother of Salvatore “Sam” (Susie), Francesco “Frank” (JoAnn), late Vittoria McCann (Kevin) and Rosa Maria Iuliano (Carlo). Proud and cherished nana of Serena Pino (Justin), Sierra Watling (Brendan), Cash Giardino, Brendan McCann, Ida Bella Iuliano, Rosa Amelia Iuliano, Carmela Chrispin (Grant) and Samantha Taranto (Josh). Loving “Big Nana” of Nathan Pino, Lily Watling and Theo Chrispin. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Giuseppina Filice. Dear sister of the late Maria Rosito (late Michele), late Francesco Filice (Carmela), Santino Filice (Franca) and the late Carlo Filice (Tuija). Daughter-in-law of the late Vittoria and the late Salvatore Spadafora. Sister-in-law of the late Caterina Desimone (late Giovanni), late Rosina Marra (late Antonio), late Lucia Brunetti (late Giuseppe), Francesca Spadafora (late Mario), Giovanni Spadafora (Maria) and the late Francesco Spadafora. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and a dear friend to many.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to be held at 12 noon at St. Veronica’s Church (559 Douglas Street) with Father Michael Omojola officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the FJ Davey Home are greatly appreciated.

The family would like to send a special thank you to all of the staff at the FJ Davey Home Apple 2, who always treated Mom with so much love and respect. Your kindness and care for Ida brought comfort in her final days and will always be remembered.
