Obituary of Eva Khull
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eva, our loving mother, mother-in-law, gramma and great gramma, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Eva shared 47 wonderful years with the love of her life, Gordon Khull (d.2008) and was the loving and dedicated mother of Morris (Anna), late Paul, Ivan (Jodi) and Adam (Lisa). She was affectionately known as “Gram” to some ‘perfect’ kids who could do no wrong in her eyes: D.J (Olivia), Steven (Clovie), Mark (Lindy), Max (Jenna), Maddy (Owen) and Nathan. Great gramma of Lily, Oliver and a much-anticipated great-grandchild arriving soon. She was a wonderful and loving daughter of Albert and Ruth (nee Rivers) Junor and was an amazing sister/friend to her siblings Patricia, Judy (late Cliff), Lola (Brian), Donna and Rod (Carole). She had many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and in-laws who thought the world of her.
She battled some very intense health issues over the past few years that would have had many others admitting defeat long ago. She fought with such courage and strength against anything that came her way and never complained or felt sorry for herself. She was definitely a fighter! Eva lived a wonderful life filled with love, family, travel and many lifelong friendships. Some travel she did with friends, but most was done when going to watch her grandchildren play in sporting events and tournaments. She was their number one fan, and we are all going to miss her so much!
As a family, we would like to say a special thank you to the amazing staff and volunteers at ARCH for making Eva’s stay there so incredibly dignified, respectful, personable and loving! Our whole family was treated this way every single day of our mother’s stay. Each of you are amazing and special to us in your own way and you all made us feel like family.
To Eva’s Homecare team, thank you all so much for everything you did for us!! Amy and Jessica, the care, love and guidance you both showed our family was second to none and we are so grateful.
In keeping with Eva’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family graveside service will be held at Laird Cemetery. A come and go celebration of Eva’s life will be held at the Laird Hall on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations made to ARCH would be very much appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
