Obituary of Jose Rodrigues

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jose, who departed peacefully surrounded by his beloved family on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Sault Area Hospital, at the age of 92.

Devoted husband of Adelaide for 62 wonderful years. Together, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and family. He was a proud and loving father to Nelson (Michelle), Manuel (Rochelle), and David (Candace). Cherished grandfather of Rhiannon, Soliece, and Ciara. Jose is fondly remembered by his brother Fernando and is predeceased by his sisters Irene and Alice, and brothers Adam and Alfredo.

Born in Zedes, Trás-os-Montes, Portugal, Jose immigrated to Canada in 1957 with determination and hope for a better future. He worked tirelessly to support his family and help others build new lives, always proud of what he accomplished through hard work and perseverance.

Jose’s strength, devoted faith, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is one of kindness, humility, and quiet wisdom.
