Obituary of Maynard Hache

With heavy hearts, we announce that on the morning of Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 3:34 a.m., Maynard went home to be with the Lord.
 

Maynard will be forever loved and deeply missed by his devoted wife and soulmate, Cindy (née Stevenson), and by his nine beloved children: Drake Hache, Seth Hache, Maynard Hache Jr., James McLeod (Courtney), Mayleah Hache (Aaron), Les McLeod (Misty), David Hache (Katrina), Crystal Hache, and Jay-Jay Hache. He was a proud and loving Papa to 20 grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his life. He will be fondly remembered by his special nephews Raymond Duguay, Danny Stevenson, Brody Hache and Luke Stevenson, and niece Samantha Hunt. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, all who cherished him deeply. Predeceased by his parents, Ethel and Maynard Hache Sr., and is survived by his brothers and sisters: Daryl McMullen (Kathy), Mike Hache (Francis), Brenda Hache, Debbie Scott (Dave), Dennis Hache (Shari), Steve Hache, Kevin Hache, Kelly Hache (Lori), and Randy Hache (Helen). Son-in-law of the late Margaret and the late Alister Stevenson, and brother-in-law of Alex Stevenson (Linda), Wanda Stevenson, and Brian Thrones. He will be dearly missed by his lifelong friends Slim Godbout and Steve Johnson, whose friendship meant the world to him.

 

Maynard’s warmth, humour, and generous heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His love for family and friends will live on through the many lives he brightened and the memories he leaves behind.

 

A Celebration of Life at a later date, where family and friends are invited to gather and share stories in honour of Maynard’s life. Donations may be made to James McLeod, to be held in trust for Drake, Seth, and Maynard Jr., in loving memory of their father.  A heartfelt thank you to Kristy for the incredible care and compassion you showed Maynard. Your gentleness and thoughtfulness brought real comfort during a difficult time, and I’m deeply grateful for the love and attention you gave him.
