Obituary of Roberta Ludke

Passed away peacefully at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Friday, November 21, 2025 at the age of 77. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 48 years, Karl-Heinz. Predeceased by her loving adopted parents Morgan and Ann MacDonald and several aunts and uncles. Survived by her cousins Ron, Rick, Terry, Mark, Lisa, Paul and Frances.

After 35 years of being raised by Ann, Roberta was able to meet her birth mother, Leah Boudreau, whom she developed a relationship with, in the years that followed. She will be fondly remembered by her half sister Lynne Balfour and half brother Craig Boudreau.

Roberta worked for Canada Post for many years. Her favourite pastime was sailing with her husband and their cat, Lucky.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Bethel Bible Chapel (686 Black Road) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Len Peake officiating. A time of fellowship will follow. Memorial donations to ARCH would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Thank you to Dr. Booth and the SAH staff as well as the wonderful staff at ARCH for their care, compassion and kindness. A very special thank you goes out to Kitty Woodcock, whose constant love and care to both Roberta and Karl has been a lifelong blessing.
