Obituary of Joseph Torresan
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Joseph, on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the age of 89. He left this world peacefully, surrounded by the loving embrace of his family. His final moments were filled with the same warmth, devotion, and quiet strength that shaped his life.
Born on May 25, 1936 in Carbonara, Treviso, Italy, to Albino and Elisa, Joseph was known for his deep love of his vegetable garden, his grandchildren, and his unmistakably blunt humour. His garden was his pride, a place where he found peace and purpose, and he delighted in sharing its harvest with those he loved. His grandchildren were his greatest joy, filling his days with laughter, pride, and endless stories. And through it all, his sharp wit and candid remarks—always delivered with affection—brought cheerfulness and laughter to every family moment.
Loving husband of Teresa for 49 years. Father of Ivana Torresan, Claudio Tassone (Cathy), Michael Torresan (Danielle Cognigni), and Susanna Flammia (Michael). Devoted Nono of Mark, Megan and Adam Tassone, Ava Torresan, Matteo and Damian Torresan, Curtis and Deena, Sophie and Aliyah Flammia. Brother of Tony (Beatrice), Renato (Pauline), Luciano (Rosanna), Luigino (Anna) and Mario Torresan. Brother-in-law of the late Nicola Gervasi (late Elisa), late Francesco Gervasi (late Carmella), late Fortunato Gervasi (late Lisa), late Concetta (late Salvatore Romano), Maria (late Bruno Roti), late Salvatori Gervasi (late Deloris), late Dominic Gervasi (Huguette), Immaculata (Giuseppi Ruscitto) and Cosmo Gervasi (Tina). Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
