Obituary of Nicola Bernardo

We regret to announce the passing of Nick at Extendicare Maple View, with his children by his side, on Tuesday, January 2026 in his 97^th year. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Carmela (1994). He leaves behind his children: Gaspare (Cheryl) of Waterford and Gina Cavaliere (Florindo) of Sault Ste. Marie. He will be profoundly missed by his grandchildren – they were his pride and joy: Melissa McCulloch (Jamie) of Port Dover, Trisha Pedalino (Matthew) of London, Anthony Cavaliere (Tara Lucarelli) of Sault Ste. Marie and Dr. Ida Cavaliere (Matthew Orgera) of Mississauga. Nothing made him happier than when his great grandchildren visited: Isla and Macie McCulloch, Xander and Beth Pedalino, Milana and Luca Cavaliere and Avery and Emma Orgera. Nick was the last of nine siblings and brother-in-law of nine with only Battiste Guzzo (Maria) and Esterina Iacoe (late Gennaro) still living in Ottawa. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews in Canada, Australia and Europe.
