Obituary of Paul DeFazio

Passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Extendicare Maple View at the age of 77. Father of Margaret (aka Margie) and Christopher (Melinda Frank aka Lindy) of Toronto. Extremely proud grandfather of Elliot DeFazio. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Laura DeFazio, and by his sister Roberta. Brother of John, Mark (Frances Hall), Margaret (aka Maggie) and Philip (Michele). Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Paul loved being a hockey goalie, playing guitar, fishing and reminiscing with his childhood friends.

The family would like to thank the wonderful and patient staff at Maple View who cared for Paul in his last few years.

There will be no funeral service and cremation will take place. A celebration of life event is being planned by the family in the spring. Details will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
