Obituary of Adalgisa Bozzo
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Adalgisa on February 8, 2026, at the F.J. Davey Home.
Beloved wife of the late Ernesto and loving mother to Fernando. Adalgisa was the devoted and cherished grandmother to the love of her life Angela Oldfield (nee Vassiliadis) (Destiny). She was the most adoring great-grandmother to her three little jewels, Nelia, Alicitee, and Branson. It brought her great joy being called “Grandma-Nonna” by them. At times she struggled with serious health issues and still persevered, going on only for them. Just a whisper of their names would bring a bright smile to her face and a sparkle to her eyes.
Adalgisa was born in Donnici Inferiore, Cosenza, Italy. She is predeceased by her parents Antonio and the Amelia Pagliaro (nee Cosentini) and her five brothers; Vittorio ( late Lina), Eugenio (late Amalia), Adolfo (late Lena), infant Alfredo, and Alfredo (Fortunata). Also predeceased by Ernesto’s family; his parents Luigi and Rafaela Bozzo (nee Cedolia) and siblings Guilia Bruni (late Eugenio), Adelina Ragusa (late Leonardo), late Armando (late Florinda), and survived by Stano (Pia), Rosina Lucente (late Ettore), Maria Bozzo (late Guiseppe). Adalgisa also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family in Canada and Italy.
An abundance of well-deserved gratitude goes out to all the Birch Lane 1st Floor caregivers at the F.J. Davey Home, especially the nurses, PSWs, and Physiotherapy staff, and numerous others for their care, compassion, and utmost respect they showed Adalgisa over the many years she spent there. The family sincerely thanks you all.
In respect to Adalgisa’s wishes a private family service has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home or the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
