Obituary of Terry Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Terry Erma-Jean. We take comfort knowing that she is now reunited with her dearly loved son Curtis Ford and her parents Harold and Norma Smith.

Left to mourn this loss too soon is her loving husband Brad Shewfelt, son Greg Ford, Grandchild and Great Grandchildren. Cherished sister of Jack (Donna), Randy, Garry (Cindy), Shelley Howdon (Chuck), and Harold (Julie). Special Aunt Terry to many nieces and nephews. Terry will be lovingly remembered by aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, family, and neighbours.

Terry was hardworking and took pride in everything she did, no matter how small the task. She had a soft spot for all her animal friends, enjoying their company and considering them members of the family. Terry was a down-to-earth “Country Girl” who enjoyed that homestyle, straightforward life.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and caregivers at The Ontario Finnish Rest Home for their care given during this unfortunate stage of her life. You provided her with both comfort and dignity, we are forever grateful. 

A Come-and-Go Celebration of Terry’s life will be held at the Laird Hall later this spring.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
