Obituary of Julia Badinski

"Come to Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28

With grieved hearts and elated joy, the children of Julia Badinski sadly announce the passing of our precious mom on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the age of 93 years. She is now resting in the Arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Julia celebrated 71 years of marriage with her love, Frank, who passed away in 2021. They were blessed with 6 children, late Joe (Marilyn), Marie Scali (Bernie), Frank (Mary), Janice Mio (Sergio), Randy (Bonnie) and Terri Pistor (Vince). Their legacy of love continues on in their 11 grandchildren - Lucas, Christa, Amelia, David, Frankie, Laura, Rachel, Nathan, Vanessa, Chad, Dustin and their 17 great grandchildren.

Julia began her journey with her siblings late Joyce Laplante, Philip Bellerose (Joyce), late Bernard Bellerose, Patsy Bisaillon (late Albert), late Tommy Jondreau and Robbie Jondreau. She will also be missed by the Badinski family who reside in Saskatchewan.

Thank you mom - you were a teacher of love, of joy, of peace, of goodness, of kindness, of gentleness, of faithfulness, of patience and of great humility.

"I know that everything we have and who we are is in large part thanks to the family you have built". Your love and memories will continue on in our hearts, through our hands and in our smiles.

Thank you to everyone who has honoured our mom throughout the many years. A special thank you to her loved private duty PSW's, and to the Finnish Rest Home - Mauno Kaihla Koti who took such great care of her every need. God Bless You all! A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Sault Area Hospital Renal Dialysis Unit for the care given to Julia.

A private family celebration and committal will be held this week in Sault Ste. Marie. Memorial donations to Sault Area Hospital Renal Care Fund would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).

"Friday my family lost a beautiful, strong, caring woman. Grandma's family was everything she loved and devoted her life to. She was a crafter, savvy card player and so much more. She had a strength many might have overlooked but my grandma had a spark that shined so bright; to witness it was something truly special. She will be deeply missed and will live on in all our hearts." – With love, written by Granddaughter, Laura Badinski
