Terry Freamon

Obituary of Terry Lee Freamon

Surrounded by the love of his family by his side, Terry passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Terry was born in Canyonville, Oregon, USA. Predeceased by his parents, Mary (nee Bertolo) Freamon and Floyd Freamon. Beloved brother of Floyd Sr. (Sharon), Marie (Jim), and Mike (Jennifer). He was the proud and devoted father of Jarrett (Jennifer), Troy, Tyler (Anusheh), and Jeff. His greatest joy were his granddaughter’s: Aubree-Anne, Hannah, and Isabelle. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews, all of whom he cherished deeply.

Terry found a second chance at love with his wife, Heather. Together they built a beautiful life in Sault Ste. Marie and at their second home in Florida. He embraced Heather’s children as his own: Leslie (Mike), Mark (Stacey) and Stephanie (Michael), and was a loving grandfather to his bonus grandchildren— Hailey, Matteo, Nico, Michael, Leah. They shared many wonderful memories with friends at Carefree Country Club in Winter Haven, Florida.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rassouli, Dr. Lam, Dr. Apostle, and nurses Jennifer Robinson and Tammy Konieczny from the Sault Area Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion during Terry’s time at the cancer clinic.

A special thank you also goes out to the staff at ARCH for their dedicated care provided in his final month. In particular, Terry held deep appreciation for Jac Nixon, a nurse who always took the time to check in, talk, and sit with him.

Terry will be remembered for his love of his family, his strength, and the lasting impact he had on all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Terry’s life in the Lower Lounge at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, March 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There will be a time of sharing at 1:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ARCH would be greatly appreciated.
