Obituary of Joseph William Schmidt

After a 13-year battle with cancer, Joe passed peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side on Tuesday March 17, 2026.

Survived by his wife, Gayle, his daughter, Melanie, and his son, David (Ali). Joe was a proud "Papa" to grandson Jack.

Joe's family would like to extend their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful care team on 3C at the Sault Area Hospital. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

At Joe's request there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
