Obituary of Bernadette Gagnon

It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Bernie/Bunny at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Best friend and partner of Anne Dawson. Daughter of the late John Sinclair Gagnon and the late Emma (Tremblay) Gagnon.  Sister of the late Robert Gagnon, late Marie Omilon (late Mike) and Art Gagnon (Patti). Many good times were spent with her adopted family, Tim Dawson (Janice), Philip Dawson (Maria), Ray Dawson and the late Natalie Baldelli. She will by missed by her many nieces and nephews and many friends. Bernie never met a stranger that didn’t become a friend and kept her sense of humour to the end.

A celebration of Bernie’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH), Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
