Dawn Dube

Obituary of Dawn Ella Dube

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Dawn, following complications from various health concerns.

Dawn was a devoted wife to Micheal for 35 years, special friend of Gabrielle and her children, the youngest daughter of the late William and the late Thelma Needs, and the beloved youngest sister of the late Cathy Leslie and Duncan Needs. Sister-in-law of Paul Dube (Helen), and Marie Carter.

She was a loving aunt to John Needs (Julie), late Arlene Needs, late David Needs (Jennifer), Jody Rowat (Glen), Connie Hornblower (Richard), and Cheryl Rowat (Brian), and a proud great‑aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dawn was also a devoted mom to her fur baby, Lexi, who brought her endless joy and snuggles.

Dawn’s circle of friendship was wide and deeply meaningful. She was especially loved and befriended by Susan and Thomas Horn, Brenda Durnford, Wayne and Sandra Wiesel, Marina Kanabe, Brenda Meier-Hans, Angela Apfelbeck (Mike), Colin Wiesel (Tanya), and Rick Wiesel (Becky). Her warmth, and kindness touched countless lives.

She will be profoundly missed by her New Apostolic Church family and the congregations in Cambridge and Sault Ste. Marie, where she found faith, community, and lifelong friendships.  Instacart, Door Dash and Walmart will never be the same as she was a regular and devoted customer!

A very special thank you to Dr. Sarah White, Dawn’s nurses Sarah and Sean and the SAH 3C unit

Dawn’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service in the Fellowship Room at the FJ Davey Home (733 Third Line E) on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. with Priest Michael Steinwedel officiating.
