Obituary of Margret Bakalarczyk
Peacefully, after a brief battle with cancer, at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in her 93rd year. Reunited with her beloved husband, Stan (2010), and her cherished daughter, Monica (2000). Adoring mother of Robert (Nancy), and proud grandmother of Rachel (Tyler), Jeffery, Ryan (Maya), and Dana (Riley). Sister of the late Else (2006) and sister-in-law of the late Konrad (1996). Survived by other family in Europe. Aunt of Konrad (Susie) and the late Heidi and the late Margret. Great aunt of Michael (Susan), Kirtis, and Mandy, and the late Rose.
Margret spent most of her career working in the service and hospitality industry. She truly enjoyed providing a high level of service to customers. As a life-long Leaf’s fan, having the pleasure of serving Darryl Sittler once at Dino’s Restaurant was one of the highlights of her career.
Margret’s greatest joy came from her dedication and unbreakable bond with her family. Her family was the light of her life. She could always be depended upon to bring you to your appointments, take care of you when you were ill, drive to London on short notice, and surprise you with a gift for no apparent reason. She always put others before herself and her selfless acts will never be forgotten. She continues to inspire us.
Her beautiful smile, brightest blue eyes, hearty laugh, and out of this world cooking will never be forgotten. Wherever we are, mom/grandma, you will never be forgotten.
A special thanks to all of the doctors, nurses, and PSWs, who provided support.
At Margret’s request, there will be no public service. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
