Obituary of Sally Clarida

We are saddened to announce the passing of Sally on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the age of 67.

She leaves behind her husband Jeff, her son Marcus (Rebecca) and granddaughter Aerin (Davin). Dear sister to Susie Kainula (Ernie), Tim (Debbie) and Tom. Daughter of Marion and the late George Palahnuk.

Sally was a woman of refined talents; an incredible cook, baker and piccolia maker, accomplished quilter and seamstress, master organizer and most of all an artist at heart. She was a matriarch of not just the family, but also to those she brought into it. Nurturing and supporting those around her was like a second nature. After many years in her career with the Government of Canada, she retired with Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) as an HR advisor. In her retirement, she pursued her love of travel and returned to the southwest for which she has a particular love for due to the hot dry weather.

As per Sally’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Memorial donations to Stitches from the Heart Quilt Guild (Comfort Quilts) would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd. 705-945-7758).
