Obituary of Carl Bordeleau
Passed away peacefully at the FJ Davey Home with his family by his side on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the age of 88. He will be sadly missed by his children Johnny Rivers, Sandra Rivers, Carl Rivers Jr., and Gordie Van Doorselaere. He lovingly missed his son Allan James (A.J) Bordeleau who passed away tragically at the age of 21. Proud grandfather of Nikki-Lynne, Phillip (P.J.), Carl-Blair, Ashely, Jacob, John (Cara), Jade and Zacheriah and great grandfather of Grayson, Ember, Caraline and Finley Rivers. Son of the late Alex Sr. and Anna (Jenson). Loving brother of Larry and Evelyn Sherrington (late Frank) and predeceased by Alex Jr. (late Mabel), Paul, Rosemary McKinnon (late Art), Andre (Beatrice), Herbert (Barbara), Allan (late Grace) and infant Richard. He was loved and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Carl was loved by his late best friend and ex-wife Linda Bordeleau.
Carl was a hard working and dedicated man who enjoyed the nostalgic days, the 50’s and 60’s and especially the old-time westerns. He loved his family and worked hard to ensure their needs were met. He was a solitary man who will be remembered in his family’s hearts. He wished for his friends and family to remember him as he was and so we honour him for being a father, son, brother and uncle to all who so sadly miss him.
At Carl’s request, a burial will take place where he will be laid to rest with his family at Cloudslee Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Brain Injury Association of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District would be greatly appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the FJ Davey Home, the SAH 3C Medical Unit and the EMS for the care and compassion given to Carl and his family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
“Go rest up high upon the mountain.”
