Obituary of Carolina Stancati

Passed away at Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the age of 46. Cherished daughter of Saverio (Sam) and Aurelia Stancati.  Loving and devoted partner of Ryan Ament. Special niece of Mario and Marisa Stancati, Ralph and Carmela Stancati, Mena Brogno and Piera Brogno of Italy. Forever in the hearts of her cousins, Mike and Lily Stancati, Amy and Gord Tait, Andrea and Jordan Secondi, Robert Stancati and Anthony Stancati. Fun, cherished Auntie of Briella and Kaitlyn Secondi.  Adored Titi of Mason and Zoe Tait. We take comfort knowing she is now reunited with her grandparents Alfonso and Carolina Stancati and Alessandro Brogno and Assunta Scorza. 

Carolina was known by all who had the privilege of knowing her as smart and passionate in her convictions, a true Montreal Canadians fan, a die-hard Sloan groupie and a Yogi at heart. She was full of life, young at heart and playful, which is why she was adored by her nieces and nephew. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who loved her, but her memory will forever live on through the love she gave, the lives she touched, and the countless moments shared with her.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, Sault Ste. Marie, ON, 705-945-7758) on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Veronica’s Church (559 Douglas St, Sault Ste. Marie) at 1:00 p.m. with Father Peter Nwachukwu officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation UHN – Breast Cancer or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
