Anna Mariotti

Obituary of Anna Mariotti

It is with profound sadness that the family of Anna announces her peaceful passing on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.

Anna is now reunited with those who went before her: her beloved parents, Angelo Uguccioni and Maria Carboni; her brothers, Luigi, Giorgio, and Carlo Uguccioni; and her sister, Natalina Uguccioni.

She leaves behind her greatest pride and joy, her daughters: Manuela Febbraro (Luciano), Angela Paluzzi (late Anthony), and Linda Jenkyn (Christopher).

Anna was a devoted and loving nonna to Lucas Febbraro (Courtney), Mark Febbraro, Lauren Keenan (Matthew), Matthew Paluzzi (Sydney Hogerheide), Andrew Paluzzi (Hannah Rowswell), and Briana Millar (Lucas). She was especially blessed to welcome and cherish her three great-grandchildren, Archer, Myles, and Luciano, who brought her immeasurable happiness.

She is predeceased by her brothers-in-law Sergio Mariotti (late Sandra), Alessandro Mariotti (late Rosemarie), and Saturno Mariotti (late Vismara), and is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Luciana Calibani (late Paolo). Anna will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Born in Fano, Italy, Anna immigrated to Canada in 1963. She worked for many years as a seamstress and cook, but the roles she cherished most were those of mother, nonna, and bisnonna. Family was the center of her world.

Anna loved sharing stories of her life and the “old days,” offering wisdom, laughter, and perspective to those around her. A woman of deep faith, she was known for her kindness, quiet strength, generosity, and gentle sense of humour. Her greatest joy was gathering her family around the table, preparing meals, and creating memories with those she loved. As the matriarch of her family, she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion that will live on for generations.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of the F.J. Davey Home for the exceptional care, compassion, and friendship shown to Anna throughout her time there.

In keeping with Anna’s wishes, a private family service will be held. Memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever in our hearts.
