Obituary of Robert E. Booth

Passed away peacefully with his children and sister by his side on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the age of 97.

Beloved husband of the late Laura (29 years) and the late Jessie (31 years). Loving father of Rob Booth and Joanne Booth, David Booth, Kathy Lewis and Lorie and Peter Pannowitz. Grandfather of Kathleen Clark, Darren Booth, Chad and Tanya Booth, Melissa and Stephanie Lewis, Lauren, Sarah and Rachel Pannowitz. Great grandfather of Amelia and Nya Clarke, Owen and Avery Booth, Aaliyah Booth and Evelyn Irvine. Much-loved brother of Margaret Nelder and the late Donald Booth.

Bob was a bricklayer at Algoma Steel for 40 years, and built his own home on Findlay Street and cottage in Goulais River. He was a loyal and devoted husband and father, always the humble gentleman, with a quiet sense of humour, and a love of the outdoors. His wisdom, cheeky smile, kindness and support will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758) on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 12:00 noon with Rev. Helen Smith officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District would be greatly appreciated.
