Obituary of Julie Di Ianni
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Julie on Sunday, September 13, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of the late Pasquale and the late Anna Di Ianni, and treasured sister and best friend of Rosa Di Ianni.
Julie will be deeply missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and all those whose lives she touched throughout the years.
Julie retired from the Algoma District School Board after a dedicated career as a secretary. She was a valued and respected member of the board, known for her professionalism, dependability, kindness and willingness to help others. Her years of service reflected her strong work ethic and commitment to those she worked alongside. Julie took great pride in her work and in the relationships she built during her career, leaving behind many fond memories with former colleagues and friends.
Outside of work, Julie’s greatest joy was the special bond she shared with her sister, Rosa. Together, they travelled the world, sharing adventures, laughter and countless precious memories that Rosa will treasure forever. Every journey was made more meaningful because they experienced it side by side. Their special connection was one of love, companionship and friendship and those memories will remain forever in Rosa’s heart, bringing comfort in the days ahead.
Rosa would like to extend her heartfelt gratitude to all the doctors and nurses in the Cancer Unit and ICU at the Sault Area Hospital for the care, compassion and support they provided to Julie during this difficult time.
A very special thank you to Nurse Mackenna in ICU, whose kindness and caring presence brought comfort during Julie’s final hours. Your dedication and humanity touched our hearts deeply, and we will always be grateful for the exceptional care and comfort you provided during our time of loss.
Rosa would also like to extend her heartfelt thanks to her cousins Teresa, Christina, Carla, Darlene and Zia Maria for their love and unwavering support during her time of grief.
As per Julie’s request, a private funeral service was held.
Julie will be remembered with love, cherished in memory and forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
