Obituary of Gwen McEachern

McEACHERN, Gwen- Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital following a brief illness on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her beloved husband Mel. Much loved and respected mother of Dennis (Shelley) and Gail Murdock. Nana to Jennifer Dawson (Justin) and Julie Merrett (John) and Jesse Murdock whom she loved dearly. Great Nana Gwen to Camryn, Jack and Chase Dawson, Olivia and Liam Merrett. Daughter of the late Alberta and Herbert Henry. Dear sister of Alice Drinkwater (Harry) and their children. Left to mourn are her close friends Phyllis Delaney and Carol Dinsmore with whom she shared a life journey. She holds your many memories in her heart. She will be missed by her fellow resident Ursula. Ursula and Gwen were rascals who shared joy, laughter and a love for life every single day. Edith, thank you for all the rides; she loved being able to go out with the girls. At Gwen's request, no funeral services will be held. Memorial donations to Kotittalo Resident Council or SAH Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to the emergency room staff and the staff of 3B, our deepest gratitude for the excellent care and "caring" provided to Gwen and our family. "I Care" lives at SAH. To the wonderful Dr. Ann Lee, Gwen looked forward to her visits with you, they were so much more than appointments.
