Obituary of Robert Neilson

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Neilson, Robert Frank- (1924-2017) It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of R. Frank Neilson who slipped away peacefully on Thursday, April 27th in his 93rd year.  Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene and is the father of Catherine (Earl) and Anne.  Much loved grandfather of Robert Poirier (Leena) and cherished great grandfather, “GiGi” of Alexander, Anthony and Kaisa Poirier.  Predeceased by his siblings, Alec, Florence, Margaret and Marion.  He was a special uncle to Sue and Jane Rodgers, Pat Watt, Marilyn Lambourne and their many children and grandchildren. Frank was a dear friend of Shirley Ross and will be dearly missed by her children, Lisa (Tim), Brian (Heidi), Rosemarie (Curt), Maurie (Terry) and their families.

Frank was a proud RCAF pilot in the Second World War.  He was an avid golfer and long time member at the Sault Country Club.  When he wasn’t golfing, woodworking, or playing pool with friends at the Legion, he was watching baseball and spending time with loved ones.
