Obituary of Carmel Marie Masters

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carmel Masters. Born March 23, 1935 to Albert and Yvette LaBerge, daughter-in-law to Reginald and Irma Masters (all deceased). Carmel is predeceased by her husband Charles Wesley “Wes”, her faithful companion of 63 years. Predeceased by infant daughter Sarah and son Alan (Becky). She will be sorely missed by children Les (Shelley), Barb King (Bruce), Sandy Antonello (Dave), Reg (Candy), Rebekah Doyon (Jason). There couldn’t have been a grandmother more proud of all nine grandchildren. Her love and affection will be missed by Andrew, Tessah, Wesley, Bryan, Tamar, Tarah, Jennifer, Holly and Cody. Sister to Ted (Lynn), John, Barbara (Todd), Fred (Rose) and Yvonne (Wayne). Sister-in-law to Ernie (Bev), Bob (Cheryl), Angeline (Gary), Hugh, Don (Vena), Harry (Lois), Florence (Jack), Ted (Mary-Ann), Nancy (John), and Lynne (Barry), many who are no longer with us, but remain in our hearts. Carmel will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Carmel passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Sault Area Hospital, with her family by her side. The family wishes to thankfully recognize the kind support of Great Northern Retirement Home, Paramedics, and the Emergency room staff at SAH, especially the loving nurses of ICU. We will never forget the kindness shown. We invite all family and friends to a come and share in the Celebration of Mom’s Life on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 742 Third Line, East, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with Tim Nenchyn officiating. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations will be welcome to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
