Obituary of Joseph Richard McIntomney

Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

With heavy hearts and great sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved husband and father, Richard at home on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 83. We take peace in knowing that Richard is now reunited with his late son Rick. Dearly loved husband of Shirley for 58 years.  Cherished father of Kelly Devoe (Eddy). Grandfather of Diedre Devoe (Kyle). Great grandfather of Charleston. Richard will be dearly missed by both the McConnell and McIntomney families as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Richard worked at a job he loved and was very good at sheet metal work. This last year the highlight of his waking hours was spending time with his great granddaughter Charlie. A Celebration of Life for both Richard and Rick will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 (lounge downstairs) on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Memorial donations to Algoma Residential Community Hospice or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Thank you to BayShore, Rita, Pat,  Cathy and PSW’s for their care and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758).
