Obituary of Lynn Hill

It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we regret to announce the passing of Lynn, surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the age of 64. Devoted husband and best friend of Lesly (nee Boyle) for 37 years. Loving father and fishing buddy of Erica Hill and Terra Seaton (Brent). Proud Papa of Lexi, Staci and Hayes. Special brother of Brenda Hotchkiss (Rob). Brother-in-law of Darin Warren of California, Terri Young of Michigan City, Indiana and Shawn Richardson of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Lynn is dearly missed by his special fur-babies Tanna and Posie. He is now reunited with his parents who he missed dearly, Duncan and Daisy Hill.

He had a great passion for the outdoors, especially the time spent on Manitoulin Island with his dad. Spending time with his family or getting out fishing with his girls is what made him the happiest. Lynn was a dedicated employee of Lajoie Brothers Contracting Ltd for over 40 years, where his coworkers will truly miss his presence.

Friends and family are invited to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. for a Memorial Service in the Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life in the lower lounge. 

Memorial donations to Tracy’s Dream or the SSM Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to the family and friends who have shown their support and friendship to Lynn and our family throughout his illness. A special thank you to the care team of 3C at the SAH, especially Nurse Steph Clement for the care and compassion given to Lynn and our family. Our sincerest gratitude to John Tavormina at Hollywood for coming to the hospital and giving Lynn a fresh cut and shave, you made him feel so good.
