Obituary of Leokadia Szczotka

Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Beloved wife of Walter for 59 years. Loving mother of Elizabeth and Barbara. Dear sister of the late Joseph, late Jadwiga of Poland and the late Frank (Mary) Trejgo. Special aunt of Wit and Kaz (Paulette) and many other nieces, nephews and cousins in Poland. Sister-in-law of the late Janina and Gerturda of Poland. Our mother faced life with courage and determination. She endured forced exile in Siberia during World War II. Returning to Poland she married and began a new life with her husband and daughters. Wanting the best for us, our mother was the driving force in moving to Canada. Thank you for blessing us with your love. Friends may visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Parish on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Father Boguslaw Jaroszek officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial donations to Holy Family Parish would be appreciated by the family.
