BORRELLI, Domenic Sr. - It is with great sadness, softened only by loving memories that the family announces the passing of Domenic Borrelli Sr., a beloved husband and proud, loving father. Domenic passed away at Sault Area Hospital on Thursday May 5, 2011. He leaves behind his much loved and devoted wife, Jane (Bertolo) with whom he shared deep love and laughter for thirty three years and his cherished children, Diana and Phil Lucchetti and Domenic Jr. (Laura Pagliaro). Predeceased by his parents Ippolito and Agata Borrelli in 1991. Loved son-in-law of Rita Bertolo (late Aldo). Dear brother of Ida Caruso (late Orlando), Carmela and Michele Beltrano, Ernestina and Giovanni Mammone and Frank and Marcy Borrelli. Dear brother-in-law of Stephen, Marilyn and Allan Bertolo. Domenic is survived by nieces, nephews and several cousins. Special "Uncle Dom" to Saverio, Franca, Michael and Olivia Beltrano. Special "Uncle Chief" to Paul and Jennifer Beltrano. Domenic also had a special bond with his cousins Rosetta Perna (Carmine) and Aldo and Mary-Ann Borrelli and well as his Zio Luciano Borrelli. Domenic will be forever remembered by many friends especially Paul Daehn, Reno Lato and Bob Hunt. He was forever grateful to dear loving friends, Linda Mancuso and Allen Look who fulfilled his dream vacation last summer at Lodge 88. Through struggle and strength a new friendship evolved with his buddy, Rico Palarchio. Domenic was born in Donnici Superiore, Italy and came to Canada at 14 years of age. He worked at Algoma Steel as a Crane Operator in the Bar & Strip Mill until 1983. He began working as a Caretaker for the next twenty five years of his life and took great pride in his job at the Huron Superior School Board where he met and kept good friendships with many. Domenic loved to share with everyone his Italian anecdotes he learned as a child growing up. His talent as a handyman and willingness to help was appreciated by many. He was a man of great pride and dignity and he loved spending time with family, friends and all his buddies at Tim Horton's. He will be remembered by all as an avid Montreal Canadiens fan, Racing Pigeon Fancier and gardener. "To feel the love of people whom we love is the fire that feeds our lives." We felt your love every second and hope that you feel ours forever. We will miss you always and your gift of love will live on with us. Family and friends are welcomed to gather at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. www.northwoodfuneral.com
