It is with great sadness that the family of Verna Robb (nee Hopper) announces her peaceful passing at the F. J. Davey Home on Monday, October 3, 2011 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Everett. Dear mother of Phyllis Wood (Ronald) of Land O' Lakes, Florida, Kathrine McCarty (John) of Sault Ste. Marie and Donald Robb (Mary) of Chatham, Ontario. Loved Grandma of Ron Wood (Dawn), Amy Willingham (Mitchell), Tracy Miller (Jeffery), Joanne Lee (Jarred), Jennifer Dunsdon (Michael), Karey Robb-Randrianasolo (Dimbinirina) and Melissa Robb. Much loved great-grandma of Thomas Willingham, Nicholas and Alexander Dunsdon, Emma and Olivia Lee, Annika and Gabriel Randrianasolo. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Catherine Hopper. Dear sister of the late Velma West (late William), the late William Hopper and his twin brother the late Donald Hopper. Verna will be missed by her sister-in-law Edna Robb and her many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Verna's grandson High Priest Ronald M. Wood officiating. Private interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Parkinsons Society, Community of Christ Church or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the Third Floor Cedar Grove staff at the F. J. Davey Home especially Sandra Hawdon, Susan Bauer, Mike Petingola and all the staff on Cedar Grove.
