GAGNÉ, Madeline - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Madeline, at Tendercare Nursing Home on Friday, October 7, 2011 at the age of 84. Madeline was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Leonard, in 2002; and her son, Gaetan, in 2004. She will be deeply missed by her children - Laval, Christian (Sheri), Wayne (Pat), Lynn Sayers (late Jon Sayers) (Don), Marlene Agawa (James), Charlene Gagné (Fred), and her daughter-in-law Janie Gagné. She was blessed with twenty-one grandchildren - Dawn, David, Jaimie-Lynn, Brandon, Nicole, Suzanne, Emily, Laura, Elizabeth, Lillian, Jonathan, Felicia, James, Joseph, Ashley, Amy, Devon, Mandy, Alyssa, Freddie, and Jenna; and sixteen great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever hold warm and happy memories of times spent at the home of their grandparents, Nanny & Poppy, in Batchawana Bay. Madeline was predeceased by her two sisters, Gisele Thibault and Berthile Laplante. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Tuesday, October 11, from 10 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the staff at Tendercare Nursing Home for the kindness and compassion they showed our mother. www.northwoodfuneral.com
