Obituary of Gino Aceti

ACETI, Gino - An angel whispered softly, "É tempo Papa. Vieni con me", and he went peacefully home with his much missed little girl, Marisa on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 55 years to his sweetheart Gina, with whom he built a life and raised a family. Cherished and respected "Daddy" of Sue Medaglia (Carlo), Terry Aceti (Lina), late Marisa, Marisa Nicoletta (Domenic) and Marc Aceti (Amy). Adored Nonno Gino to the joys of his life and the light in his eyes - his grandchildren - Carmen (Kirsti), Carlo John and Christina Medaglia; Gina D'Ulisse (Tom) and Victoria Aceti (fiancé Matthew Chlebus); Emily, Nicolas and Michael Nicoletta; Marc Jr. and Matthew Aceti; and Owen Sist-Taylor. Nonno anxiously awaited the birth of his first great grandson this coming January. Son of the late Rosaria and Francesco Aceti. Brother of the late Umberto (late Giulia), late Giuseppe, late Marietta Filice (late Luigi), and Pasquale Aceti (late Louisa). Son in law of the late Assunta and Ettore Aceti. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. A friend to all, dad always had a kind word for everyone. Special thanks to Dr. Kargbo for her empathy, warmth and understanding, all of the compassionate nurses on 3B and 3C at the SAH, ComCare nurse Victoria McLea and to Corrine Moore for being there with us at the end. Daddy died as he lived his life - peacefully, gracefully, courageously and filled with faith in God. God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not meant to be. So he put his arms around you, and whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched you, as we saw you pass away. Although we love you deeply, we could not make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
