Obituary of Catherine Luck

LUCK, Catherine (Cathy )- In her 54th year after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer. Our beloved Cathy left our lives with dignity surrounded by her loving family. Much loved wife of Keith Luck, loving and supportive mother of Keith Jr. (Melissa), Corey (Jessica) and TJ (Morgan) Step-Mother of Tammy Lynn Aalto (Tuomas) of Finland. Devoted daughter of Bob and Lill Luck, Daughter-in-law of Tony Schryer (late Joy), Bill and Lois Luck. Adored grandmother of Bryleigh, Zaiden and Zowie of Sault Ste. Marie. Her love for her grandchildren stretched across the miles to Jacob, Austin, Aiden, Cash and Adele in Finland. Cathy was the dear sister of Bob Luck (Nancy), Tammy Martinsen (Poul) of Sault Ste. Marie, John Luck (Pat) of Victoria. Sister-in-law of Hollis Bowerman (Bud), Bill Luck (Stella), the late John Luck, Randy Schryer, Michael Schryer, and Joann Schryer all of Sault Ste. Marie. Cherished by her aunts, uncles and cousins both in Sault Ste. Marie and in Southern Ontario. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and her dearest friend Debbie Darch. Cathy loved her family, her friends and her colleagues at the Bank of Nova Scotia. She supported her sons in every aspect of their lives from bowling to baseball. Her grandchildren were a source of constant joy to her and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was proud of each and every accomplishment of her children and selflessly put everyone else's needs before her own. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral and committal service in the Chapel on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Memorial donations to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.
