Obituary of Mafalda Vecchio

VECCHIO, Mafalda Passed away peacefully in her 78th year, with family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday December 30, 2011. Predeceased by her parents Arturo and Teresa Chiarello. Loving wife of Ortenzio. Cherished and devoted mother of Toni, Helen Gagnon (Don), Gina MacKenzie (Glen), Mary Cobean (Richard). Adored grandmother of Derek Mackenzie (Amy), Kelly Nyberg (Clint), Nicole (Joe) and Michael Gagnon, Rachel and Kaitlin Cobean. Great grandmother of Cameron, Gunner and Christian. Sister of Armand Chiarello (Lynne) and Franca Lunelli (Tony). Mafalda will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Councel church on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Patrick Woods officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation and SAH would be appreciated by the family.
