Dear Harvey (Butch) Richard, Roberta and Nancy. Please accept my deepest condolence on the passing of Jane. She was one of the great land marks of our Italian community and a much liked and admired person. My memories of her go back as far as Hudson street when your dad was still living!! God give you all the comfort needed at this time. I'm away at this time in California at this time and cannot much to my regret Will not be able to attend services. We are sorry that we aren't able to be with you to express our sympathy personally. Jane became a close friend during my time teaching in the Soo. I spent many hours visiting and socializing with her. Her care and concern for me was very much appreciated. Joe and I had the pleasure of spending the first week of our honeymoon at her gorgeous cottage. Her kindness and thoughtfulness will always be special in my memory. Noni was an inspiration to all those who had the privilege of knowing her. If you thought gender bias was loaded against women, it was not reflected in Jane. We believe that her vision for a starting point at Root River anchored her family as she shared her fiesty drive, business acumen and determination. She was a leader & women’s advocate well before her time. We will all miss her sharp wit, enormous capacity to love, her grace. It is always hard to lose a parent, but we know Noni is happy back with the one she loved most.

It was by accident that I looked in the obituaries and saw Jane's name. I told Fraser that she had passed away and even in his "state" he processed the information and looked sad. She was a great lady, possitive and was able to bring a smile to all she met. I know that her hugs made Fraser very happy. She will be missed but has left many happy memories behind.

My deepest sympathies to the Barsanti family on the death of Jane. She was a marvellous woman. I remember that our Gr. 12 graduation party was held at the Root River Club many years ago, arranged by my classmate Nancy. We were also neighbours for many years as we lived just around the corner. I know that Harvey, Nancy, Roberta and Richard will miss their Mom as well all the extended family. It's very difficult to let go of a someone who is so significant to everyone.
