DeFRANCESCO, Maria - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the age of 91. Devoted wife of the late Domenico. Cherished mother of John DeFrancesco (Wanda), Lisa Spina (Mike) and Bruno DeFrancesco (Marsha). Loving Nana to Michael DeFrancesco (Leeanne), Gina Payne (Namand), Angela DeFrancesco, David DeFrancesco, Peter Spina (Marla), Ida Spina, Tony Spina (Kim), Katrina Spina (Terry), Stephen DeFrancesco, Johnny DeFrancesco and Mary DeFrancesco (Alex). Great Nana of 12. Sister of Rosa Mangiardi, Antonio Mangiardi (Angelina), Peppina Iennarella (Domenico), Gregorio Mangiardi (Angela) and Vittorio Mangiardi. Predeceased by her sister Chiara Mangiardi and brother Francesco Mangiardi (Elvira). Sister-in-law of Rafaele DeFrancesco (Caterina), Giuseppi DeFrancesco (Carmela), Angelo DeFrancesco (Rosina), Teresa Mangiardi (Francesco), Maria Chiara Tripodi (Vincenzo) and Rocco DeFrancesco. Maria was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and so very many special friends. Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758) on Friday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Veronica's Church on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 10 a.m. with Father Eric Pannike officiating.
