Obituary of George Ormston II

ORMSTON, George Carr II (April 26, 1936 - February 18, 2012) - A Christian man, gone to his heavenly reward after a courageous battle with cancer. George passed away, at home, with his wife and daughter by his side. George was the beloved husband and soul mate of Barbara and cherished father of Lisa and Carol (deceased July 31, 2010). He was the only son of the late George and Irene Ormston of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. A service of celebration will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church (Cathcart and Brown Streets) on Sunday, February 26th, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Deon Slabbert officiating. Reception to follow at the church. Private family interment at Greenwood Cemetery to be held at a later date. Memorial donations to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family. Heartfelt thanks are extended to Dr. McLean and staff, the Pharmacy at Rome's, the CCAC and BayShore nursing, especially Heather and Susan, for all their compassion, care and support.
